Was there supposed to be a plastic cap or other protector at the end of the boom for the Hunter 140? I have a used Hunter 140 and the 'deck' of the boat has scratches from the boom sliding around during rigging.
Before I attempt to make something I'm curious what other owners have done, if anything?
Also, what is the "Mast Step" part listed on the site store for the Hunter 140? Is that a piece that goes into the bottom side of the Mast? I don't recall seeing anything but an open hole on the bottom of my mast during rigging for the season.
