I am trying to install the transducer for my new Humminbird fish finder on my H310 sailboat with some difficulty in finding a good location. Obviously there in no transom on the H310 for the "transom" transducer. The only other flat area inside the hull that is not over the keel or the prop is where the ST-60 depth transducer is installed but I think the two sonars will interfere with each other. I thought of installing it in the aft storage locker but the bottom there is sloped. Has anyone done this that can provide me with some first hand advice? Thanks. Lee

transducer testing

Shouldn't interfere with your ST-60, but just to be sure you can put the transducer in a bag of water and as long as you don't have air under the bag it will "shoot through" the hull where you put it. I ended up using clear silicon to mount mine. It took a couple of tries to get all the air bubbles out of the silicon but I eventually got it right. The upside is that if I ever want to move it, I can.
