I am considering buying an abandoned 22' and researching costs on replacement parts. I can't find the rubber trim which is inset around the hull. Can anyone help me with the term for this and where replacment might be located?

Its called the rub rail and i would look on Catalina Direct for a replacement, I'm pretty sure you could find it there.

I found the rub rail replacement from Catalina Direct for the C30 to be an exact match. My 84 C30 rubrail was damaged from hurricane Ike. A section of the aluminum needed to be replaced as well as the insert, it had the tan insert. The repair yard ordered one section of the aluminum and the grey insert. Other than the fact that the aluminum is new, you cannot tell it has been replaced.
