ive got a ‘71 Catalina 22. Thought there was a soft spot on forward starboard side deck. Drilled from cabin up and plywood is not soft or rotting. When laying in the v berth though I can push up on the ceiling on that side and there is about an inch of play when you look at the corner where deck meets hull. From the outside its not moving however. Any ideas as to what’s going on here? How is this joint constructed anyway?
