HI Everyone, My parents daysailor was in thier backyard when thier house burnt down this January! It was no more than 30 feet from the house, the tarp melted but I have heard there are no marks on the hull (#793). I am concerned that the fiberglass would be damaged and we won't know untill we get it in the water again and it splits in two! Anyone know about heat and fiberglass? Thanks! Mel

if there is no visable damage to skin/hull surface, there should be no problem. there would be visable damage of present. cover melted because it is lighter weight material. you can have a local yard check it out, but don't expect there is any damage.

Hey Bucko is that you? I'm so sorry to hear about the fire. I have fond memories of the place. I hope you didn't loose too many treasures! Sara
