Anyone know what the maximum hull speed would be on my recently aquired 1979 O'Day 25? Also what outboard size would be the minimum to achieve that maximum speed?? Thanks. ken in sacramento

diplacement hull speed

Displacement hull (no planing) HSPD = SQRT(LWL)*1.34 HSPD = SQRT(21)*1.34 HSPD = 6.140651431 kts But the LWL will vary (gets longer has you pick up speed).
