Hi John, I was going to say that we recently saw a Vega in the Alawai marina. We just got from 3 week in Hawaii. Weather was beautiful but warmer than I remember from the 5 years I lived there in the 70s. We are in northern California just south of the Oregon
border. Lyric is in the water in Brookings, Oregon. We will be listing her in the near future as my wife has no interest in cold water sailing. She is a Series 1 with a Series 2 mast and has been repowered with a Yammar 2GM20. Judy used to work for West Marine
and she has been extensively redone. I'm still working on the list but so far her replacement value is well over $40,000. She does need a paint job and most of her electronics need replacing. When out of the water she sits on a custom build
galvanized trailer and I also have a 1994 F350 Turbo Diesel work truck to tow her with. Get in touch with me if you think you might be interested. I'll be listing her on the American Vega Association and you might want to check them out for other Vegas that
are on the market. Some with very good pedigrees, none as well equipped.
Walt, Lyric S/V 120

Thanks everyone for all the info. Walt, we are in Southern California nwo but my wife was born & raised on Maui and I lived there about twenty years.
By the way, how long are the cockpit seats? Are they big enough for a 5'9" person to sleep on? Thanks again, John

is on the hard being restored and upgraded from hank on Genoas and broken winches. And so much work is progressing nicely: Volvo 2002 getting required d parts and service, fuel tank removed and cleaned, Cutlass bearing replaced on shaft, companionway boards
restored, a through hull transducers on the hull removed that my Dad rigged and filled with fiberglass, etc. Love this old boat and her surfing agility.Sent from my Verizon 4G LTE Droid
