I just bought a Widgeon probably built in the late 80's. Just aft of the center board is what looks like a factory drain hole that only goes through the outer hull. The plug appears to be threaded and it is missing. No one so far seems to know anything about it or where I might find a replacement. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, JL

Not sure about the late 1980's models, but my 1969 model had a threaded plug just aft of the CB trunk and it fit a 1/4" NPT pipe plug if I recall, I did need to wrap telflon tape around it to seal.

I'd suggest giving Rudy Nickerson at D&R Marine a call (508) 644-3001. He was building the Widgeon after O'DAY closed in 1989. He used to work for O'DAY and is a good source of advice and parts, he probably has that plug in stock (original on mine was plastic, perhaps Nylon?)

Rudy has not answered for several days so no luck there. It turns out that the hole is a 3/8" NTP. plug. I had to tap the hole to fit the plug but it works fine. Thanks, James Lea
