Hello,
I am restoring a 32' Columbia Sabre. I have never seen her in the water, and she is dry docked as I restore her. A newbie question, but I need to know.
My question is I have 2 holes in my hull, inside the bilge that lead to the outside.
This boat is not trailerable with its 1,800 lb lead keel.
So are these holes normal on sailboats to drain water while sailing. Or were they perhaps put there on purpose while dry docked.
In the outside deck, the drain holes have hoses which go into the bilge. I didn't know if these holes are part of Sailboat design. See the small hose coming out of the outside Hull picture.
Anyone have an idea if I should plug them before I put her in the water.
I thank you in Advance,
Kelly
