Hull Delamination

I recently purchased a '75 C22. I picked it up pretty cheaply, because it had a lot of minor problems, mostly cosmetic. One major problem was that the swing keel trunk was leaking because of damage the PO caused when he lowered the keel with the locking pin screwed all the way in. I had water leaking in because the torn trunk was below the water line. I have since fixed that problem. The floor of the front dinette locker had a bilge pump screwed down into the hull. I removed the bilge pump, and was dressing up the holes that the PO had drilled for the screws so that I could repair them. I found out that the hull had delaminated because water had gotten into the holes he had drilled, and possibly froze. I have the boat out of the water for the winter, and plan on tackling the job, along with other problems, so that I'll be ready for Spring. Has any one else had a similar problem, or any suggestions on what way to make a GOOD repair?

Penetrating epoxy

would be your best bet to fix delamination. you may want to add some glass mat to the area for reinforcement. Regards, Ted
