Any ideas on products to clean hull at the waterline, a thin layer of dried on greenish growth. Non abrasive to gel coat?

Hey NiceBenny,

We just use the same cleaner we use for the topside (West Marine Heavy Duty "Boat Soap"). If it is more difficult, we use "Roll-Off". Use a soft scrub brush...

Would love to hear of other ideas.

MKate also takes the wax off so make sure you put a coat on or the stains will come back quicker than before

FYI- most of these products will damage your anti fouling paint if allowed to drip down onto it.

Mary Kate is great for heavy stains but most waterline stains do fine with Spray 9. Our powerboat is used in cedar water that stains everything. Spray 9 washes it right off and is less caustic than MK which I have used but found too caustic for that purpose. MK can burn your skin so cover up if you use MK.

Lysol toilet bowl cleaner. Use rubber gloves and don't let it get to the bottom paint.
