Catalina 34 Hudson
We just purchased a home on the water in Hudson Florida ..We plan to move our Catalina 30 full draft and our 23 ft Yahama Jet ..While we do not have an issues with the Yammy I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for the Catalina ..getting her in and out ..High Tide only ? I see lots of larger sailboats up here so Im guessing the water is ok?

Best to check with the locals about changing conditions and how deep their keels are - LWL and keel depth can sometimes be mutually exclusive things

Get some specific local knowledge from your new neighbors. Don't get me wrong, but consider renting a slip in or around Clearwater or even in Tampa Bay. The sailing will be more enjoyable even with the additional drive. Boats in Florida are usually shallow draft models. Anything above 5' draft will be problematic. It may be not only going out or coming back in at high tide, but it also could be on a number of days out of the month depending on the season. Study the charts, but get local and up to date info.

Just checked the charts and satellite pictures of Hudson - it screams “local knowledge” to me.
