HSB2 is a combination of a hardware and software upgrade that will get you the following functions as opposed to a standard HSB display. New displays will be being sold as HSB2 out of the box in the future. HSB2/Pathfinder Plus Features Pathfinder plus offers the following features in addition to all the existing Pathfinder/Raychart features.

Upgrade procedure and cost?

How is a unit upgraded? What is the cost? I have a new R70 (7" CRT) radar. Thanks,

John, The cost of the procedure will have to be sourced through a Raymarine dealer. The part numbers for the software upgrade in the future post should answer some of your questions. The hardware upgrade includes a complete processor replacement and can only be done by the Raymarine Service Center. The software can be purchased and done in the field. Just doing the software limits the enhanced functions. I would not recommend it for your product. Many of the functions, as stated previously, are limited to the color LCD displays.
