Hi everyone - the sink (Galley and Head) are a simple hand pump operation... there is a (approx.) 20 gal. plastic tank below the cockpit... Do I just fil that up and pump away? is there any priming, etc. that need to be done? Thanks!

That's about it

There's not much else you need to be concerned with. After this season is over ,I plan to install a valve at the tank base so I can change out a pump with out emptying the tank into the bilge first!

Make sure that...

If the water system hasn't been used for awhile, inspect the tubing that runs from each sink back to the tank, and the hose leading from the deck fill to the tank. Make sure it is clean and clear before you use the water for any purpose.

did that... but...

I checked the tube - YUCK. I replaced the tube that runs from the sink faucet to the tank. The one that runs to the vanity I simply unhooked. I plan on taking that whole thing out sometime - I see no point for a vanity sink. Anyway, as I said, replaced the galley sink to tank tube - also I took the whole tank out and pressure washed inside and out... rehooked everything. So what now? Just fill it up and pump the sink faucet? By the way, I have no 'deck fill'.. I have to access the tank via the gear locker...

you got it...

I was waiting to see the responses. It sounds like your water system, like mine is 100% factory. I will soon be replacing or adding an additional water tank/bladder. I have plans to install a cockpit shower. It is always some sort of a project. Good luck on your sink project, and rememeber to thoroughly seal the thru hull for the head sink.
