The odd shaped port hole is real easy. Undo all the screws in the cabin and remove the trim ring. You will see the exterior frame. Have some one outside on the deck to catch the window and frame. Gently push on the frame and it will probably pop out. Mine fell out after the removal of the screws. If the adhesive is holding it in place go slowly and carefully cut the goop with a razor knife. If the frame has not been rebeded since it was first installed it should come out without a problem. If you are to replace the plexi in the large window be very careful not to crack the frame. As it is 30 years old it will probably be brittle.
As for the 2nd opening hatch - it should be pretty straight forward. Remove the screws or nuts, remove trim ring and pry from hull. I have not done this port yet so let me know if I am correct.

Portlight removal.

Your opening port is an original Gray. The parts and complete ports are still available. But I have never seen one bolted through. I don't think that is original. All the Grays on Cherubinis that I have seen are screwed into the core from the inside. Then the outside trim ring is either simply put on with sealant or screwed. On my H37C the trim rings were screwed into the core. Here's a series of three photos that might explain. It happens that it was the one that had previously been replaced, a Bomar, not a Gray. But exactly the same so far as mounting.

Repairing the coring and reinstalling is another story.

I had to replace a Gray/Bomar port in my 1980 H30. It went as Ed described however the old bedding compound was hard and unyielding. I used an electric hair dryer to heat the old bedding and it came right out.

My fixed ports are not in the best of shape aside from the plexi being nearly opaque, the actual plastic has a few bites taken out of it. I know it is possible to get rebuilt fixed ports for some of the Catalinas does anyone one know of a source for the Hunter 30's mine is a 1977 model.

Bomon in Canada can make a direct replacement (fixed port) if you cannot salvage what you have.
