How to remove the dinette table in the Hunter 260?

Hi, to remove the dining table (to repair it outside) in the Huter 260 I have to remove the mast or only the metal tube inside the cabin that goes through the hole of the dinette table?
I think I should just remove the tube in the cabin, but I'm not sure...
If I only have to remove the metal tube in the cabin, how should I do it?

How about removing the bracket from the table?

Mast needs to be down. You then remove the tube from the cabin by removing screws at the base of the tube then going on deck and removing the screws and hardware fastening it on deck. Once screws are removed compression post is removed from deck side.

You may want to consider doing any table mods and replacement of centreboard lines as part of this process as well given the age of the boat if it’s not been done before.

Searching for “removal of compression post” under both h26 and h260 should give you several very good write ups of the procedure.

+ 1 on replacing the centerboard line while you have the compression post out. I don’t care how perfect you think it is. Replace it.

How about removing the bracket from the table?

That is my question. What part of the table needs repair? Like mine, the top should be able to be separated from the support bracket.
