At one time there was a place where you could buy gel coat "paint" that was matched to you boat by manufacturer and year. Anyone know where that was? Bob

Something to keep in mind . . .

I have not come accross a "factory match" gelcoat, but you may want to consider that your boat coler has probaly faded from its original color anyway. A factory match would not match in this case. My boat was original a light biege color, now after 20 years, it is white. I tend to color match gelcoat to wahat it looks like today, not what it was originally. I have seen "white" gelcoat sold in pints at the marine stores. This is an advantage over the Gelcoat color matching kits that you can buy, as it starts out close to the most common color you need (white). Regards, Ted

get white and color it

I agree with Ted. I bought the supposed official Catalina gel coat, and it's more tan than my boat is. That may have been the color when the boat was new, but nineteen years of sitting in the sun have changed things. Go to West Marine, buy white and a couple tubes of color. Mix, match, and have fun!
