How to get up a C-22 mast w/out taking down ?

Need to work on a spreader to re-tape and would rather not take down mast, can I use a hoist/seat to get up( on a C-22 ) there ?

I don't think that the 22 is big enough to go up the mast. I have not tried this but I have seen mention that you can dock the boat and then use a halyard tied to the dock to winch the mast down to your level.

I used a ladder on my SJ-21

worked for me. The C-22 might be too samll to climb the mast safely!

seen it done

I've seen it done on the NGCC, worked just fine. Mast was an old style oval as well.
