PWC are not the probelm, the operators

PWCs are boats like any other. The issue is the operator. Just like a big boat anybody can buy one and drop it in the water and go without any type of training(assuming they are of age). I have seen just as many PWCs operating recklessly as big boats. And probably more untrained big boat operators in total. Just spend a bust weekend on the Chesapeake bay and you will see... As much as I hate to say I am starting to lean towards minimum qualifacations for operators. Yuck, but I belive it will happen sometime.

Kinda' like the gun issue

...it's not the guns, it's the criminals who use them.

Hey Ned,

That subject caused HOW to turn into a war zone last year. Maybe we should just let it lie and enjoy the great humor of that web site. Hilarious! And it beats my fantasy; a 30.06, 300 yards sight-picture range and a fireball. At least the fantasy allows me to cope.:)

OK,OK it's just a joke :) :)

I've got one of these things myself. But you have to admit that many of them are a pain in the ass. The way I look at it, if it gets a laugh, it's worth it!! :) :)

Great humour Allan!

And can you get us a group discount on some of those missles? I'll take a couple. Kevin

Man, that was funny!!!

Seriously LMAO!! The only problem that I can see is that the missles used are rather large and bulky to store. It seems that perhaps something smaller would be easier to work with and still have the required range and terminal effect. Also, radar guidance would probably be better than heat seeking, it'll be at least a couple of years until the PWC jockeys get wise and start installing chaff generators and electronic counter-measures, so we could have a real field day in a 'target rich environment.' What we need to do is get the sailboat builders to start including these systems as factory items. To help keep the element of surprise, I'm envisioning something along the lines of a second anchor locker at the bow with hydraulics to raise and lower a set of six smaller missiles that are linked to the boats radar system. With the proper software, you could have multiple targeting capability along with 'fire and forget' functions. A system like this could be quite effective in 'thinning the herd'!! *5 ;D

I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
Turn them into a game

It should be legal for all boat owners to carry paintball guns and shoot paintballs at the rapidly passing PWC's. It would make a fun game. Imagine hitting a PWC driver that is going 35 mph over the water and knocking him off of the PWC.
