Several years ago, after anchoring in Newport, RI, a snooty group of 'proper' sailor gentlemen yell to me from their nearby anchorage "Boy, does your boat swing a lot?" I'm amazed and incensed that they could call me that. I yell back "yes, and don't call me 'boy' again". After a short delay, they yelled back "I said AHOY"!! Was I embarrassed. But at least they decided to leave!
