I do not see any additional holes on my mast. I would like to add a halyard for a spy pole.
Do i have to run it outside of the mast ?
I have one halyard for the spy, one for genoa, one for the main and the last one for the boom.

Should be a hole just above where the forestay attaches. If not, what's the long, hand etched serial number on the base of the mast? Usually about 4 inches up off of the deck.
What year is the boat?

To clarify, halyards are for sails, so I think you mean a "topping lift" to support the pole while in use. I'm sure there's another name. You might want to search for more info on spin use.

It appears that there are possible cables which run up the front of the mast, between the front edge of the mast and the internal foam installed to prevent the cable from slapping inside the mast. Are you planning on using a spinnaker pole with a symmetrical spinnaker? You may want to consult with a Selden rep before you do this, just to be certain that's OK.

i would like to install a double channel in the front stay, then be able to raise another jib and put double wisker pole on the jibs. We have very strong winds here and we allways sail to close reach or dead downwind. With the hunter rig the main cannot open very well and the boat is very unstable dead down wind, best way is to only raise one jib alone with a pole, the boat will steer better because of the pull instead of the push.
