Hi, Thanks for all of the help so far! I was planning on using a Whale diverter valve with my sanitation setup. However, I need to put a 90 degree bend from the diverter valve to a thru hull. What's the best way of doing this and making sure no odor penetrates the connections?

Thanks!
Marty

90 degree turns in head hose is not a great idea. Might clog. You want as smooth a run as you can get. That's my 2 cents.

Best way to do it is an inline radius sweep...

That's inserted into the hose, not attached to the valve. SeaLand has 'em...2nd page here:
SeaLand Hoses and Fittings

Although it's always best to avoid 90 degree elbows whenever possible, 90 degree sweeps aren't any more likely to clog than a straight run...and even elbows aren't THAT likely to clog. Far better to use one, than force a hose to bend that much...that invariably results in kinks and/or leaks.
