How to Access/remove a Northern Lights M673 generator from a Hunter 410

I have a 2001 Hunter 410 with a Norther Lights generator installed in the starboard side, aft locker off of the swim platform. It is installed in a sound box and is in a pretty tight spot. I have an oil leak that appears to be in the oil pan and will likely have to remove the generator from the locker to do the repair work. This would be a relatively straightforward repair if the generator was 'on the bench' but accessibility is a major complication as it is. Has anyone had the experience of either installing or uninstalling a Northern Lights generator in that location on a Hunter 410? I'd appreciate any insights or lessons learned if you have done that.

The top of the back lazaret has screws and should come off. You can use your boom as a crane.
Having said this I actually cut the bulkhead in the aft berth to install my generator. This also provides access for maintenance.

Thanks Sailgunner. I do take that removable combing off from around that swim platform locker on the starboard side, when I service my generator but I don't know that it will be big enough to get the whole unit out through. With the combing off, it's tight but I can get in there and do the work...just don't want to need a tool once I'm in there! I will take it off when I try to get the genset out, but it still looks questionable that I will be able to get the NL gen out through there? That will be my Plan A but I was hoping I'd get a response from someone out there that said "Yes, I did that very same thing on my Hunter 410". Wishful thinking! I'll keep the bulkhead option open. It will still be a brute as the NL generator is almost 400 pounds but it may be the best option?
