How to access muffler hose connections?

I want to change the exhaust hose from the mixer elbow to the muffler on my 90 Hunter 30. The connection to the intake side of the muffler is hidden under the floor boards. I have removed all of the exposed screws holding the panels and still they will not lift up. There must be some connections I am missing. Has anyone done this, and if so what more do I need to do to get the panels in the aft cabin to lift up? Regards, Doug Margison sv Mokum II

Hunter Used Sealant on Floorboards

Our '88 Hunter floorboards were held down with sealant and I wouldn't be surprised if they were still doing this in '90. The screws were probably put in by a previous owner. Look around the edge of one of the panels and see if you can spot any sealant as some may have ozzed out. If the panel is not sitting directly on the fiberglass that may be a sign too. Try prying a panel up - a hefty and constant force with time works better than a big jerk to lift the panel if, in fact, there is sealant there. Plus it helps to assure you don't break anything. See if this helps.
