Does anyone know how to get behind the stairs to get to the exhaust hose above the water line? I need to replace the exhaust hose and can't see any access to that part of the hose that comes up in between the aft wall above the engine.
Anyone know of any way to get in behind there?

just had that cooling hose blow out 5 weeks ago. you have to remove the recessed cutout which contains the pockets(Drawers depending on your model))behind the steps, The pocket is removed with 4 screws located on the sides of the pocket, (top and bottom). remove the screws, pull out the teack pocket, and you have access to the hose which is screwed to the back wall.

now try it with 5 unhappy crew, 15 kts of wind, early evening, and I am the only patient one on the boat since I get to sail the boat into the dock......

not according to my wife.

crew mutinied.

took about an hour to get the cabinet out, clean up the salt water, cut the hose shorter, put it all back together. Becareful tho. I bent my stop choke cable laying across the top of the engine while I was mucking around trying to fix the hose the wrong way. enjoy.

Took off the shelves behind the companion way stairs and I was able to get to it.
