How Strong Is The Boom?

Hi allI have a Catalina 27 (1976 Dinette) with a tall rig. I was looking at one of those hammocks and the salesperson showed me a photo of someone using one slung over their boom.This got me to thinking about whether or not this would work with a Catalina 27. Does anyone know what weight the boom on a C27 can hold? Would one of these hammocks with a 250 lb man in it be too much for the boom?Thanks

I think the boom would hold but how strong or secure is the topping lift line....

The topping lift line is the one that came with the boat! My guess would be that it is fairly strong. I will check it out.
