How much wind is too much???

To all:What is the most wind you have sailed in? Lucky for me I was at work today and not on the lake. We had a little wind here in Indiana, see photo. Guess how much wind it takes to do this to an 18' flagpole with a 4'x6' flag. Would you believe steady 35mph winds with gusts to 63mph???I'm interested in your boat size and wind speed.Regards,Jay

Anything over 30...

gets pretty busy. I will sail up to 35 mph with heavy reefing, but abovet that, its too much work.Rob

I sailed this weekend for the last 3 days in 25-30 mph winds with gusts the news said to 38. Left the main reefed the jeanie all the way out and was doing 4 knots sometimes alittle more. Was great. But then,I really like storm sailing....
