Hello all,
This will be my first spring with my Vega and I'll be pulling her out to
re-bottom paint. Theres a sale on for buy a gallon get the second for a
penny. How much does a vega usually need?

As always thanks for every ones input,

Hello James,
I used around a gallon (4 liters) to do 2 layers of Sigma Chloor-Rubber 2000
(inshore) applied with a fine roller.

Sanded the underwater-part with waterproof sandpaper first to get a very
even, slick result.
How about that second bucket for next Year (or the Year after...)
Enjoy!

Hi James;
I've painted my boat every year, used about a gallon for one coat. (But
I guess it
depends on what kind of bottom-paint you're using- I use Pettit Trinidad)

2 gallons is a good place to start. You wont use it all, but you should
give it two coats. 1 gallon would not be enough.

Guess -being a Dutchman- I apply very thin layers :) LOL
It really depends on type of paint, way of applying, temperature etc.

For reference I'm planning on using west marines cpp (copper ablative) it's
always worked well on my fathers boat and he's in the same water just
further up the Chesapeake Bay.

Thanks for the input guys.
