how much for a rebuild?

How much have you guys paid to have 8 horse diesels rebuilt? Also, how much for a rebuilt one with core exchange? Where would I have this done? Can I pull the engine myself, then crate and ship it somewhere? Thanks, in advance, Scott

Scott, I pulled my SVE 8 ,had the head serviced for $37.50--injector pressure checked $75.00--Bought all rebuild parts,to include new sleeve, piston and drive saver about $600.00 and had a friend put it all back together for me on a trade out(abt $500.00)And it runs great!
