How much coverage is enough?

I know this is a subjective question, but how much insurance coverage is enough? Our insurance "agent" sold us a policy last year for $329 with essentially the same coverage as our auto. But, hey, I'm lucky to do 6 knots and the boat is only worth $2500.

The coverage you need is liability. if your 2500 dollar boat rams a $500,000 boat and starts a fire----------------------------------------------------

My marina has specific minimum liability requirements..... look at your policy and you'll find the liability and environmental damage is where the bucks are spent. That said... If you're not happy with your boat insurance... get another quote... try BOAT/US.
