I am currently interested in buying a H37C. Can anyone tell me how many were manufactured during their production? Also, any thing about this boat would be welcolmed. How does she go to weather, etc? Has anybody changed the H37C from cutter to sloop? If so, how does she handle as a sloop? Please reply as soon as possible as I need to make a decision as to go through with the purchase. Thanks to all you sailors out there. Art Barnes

Search "Forum Archives" Art.

Hate to make you do the work but both topics have been covered extensively in the past couple of years. None of the 1985 H37C owner's in the directory included HIN's. From there you can get some idea since the hull number includes the manufacturer's count. We came up with an estimate but I can't find that thread right now. There are 112 registered in the Owner's Directory but I think that is less than one-fourth. The sloop issue was covered again fairly recently, I think in the Cherubini Forum.

From Cutter to Sloop

We own a 1980 cutter and I have removed the staysail boom and left the stay in place. I havent really noticed much difference in handling. I use the space to carry the dinghy. We have all the hardware and sail in storage if I ever sell the boat.
