How many ADULTS does a catalina 25 sleep?

I just purchased a 1984 catalina 25. Stats say sleeps five. Does anyone know if the seats in the main cabin convert in any way to make a bed? I had a hunter 22 and the floor bds hung on the sides of the bench seats and the back rests laid down between them making a good size bed. Does the cat 25 do this?If so how? The only place I can find to fit a adult of 5ft 11 inches is the aft sleeping area. Thank you. Bob

Sleeps "0" adults

I sold my C25 to get a larger boat that I can sleep on comfortably, so it now sleeps "zero".But seriously, do you have the traditional, or dinette model? We had the traditional. My wife and I slept in the aft bunk, but it was a tight squeeze. On the boat alone one time I slept on the longer starboard settee. It was narrow, and would tend to block access to the aft bunk if someone tried to sleep there at the same time. I never tried the vee berth since it seemed too awkward to get into, but I'm sure it would work.Some other people with C25's made large boards that they could set up between the settees using some sort of bracket/supports. Seemed as large as a queen-size bed.

Jon, I have the traditional set up and your correct, the only place where a adult can sleep is aft. What a shame.I believe I can also take a page from a smaller Hunter boat and build brackets on each bench seat and use the back cushions to fill in space. Thanks for your reply.

Five in mine

I am able to convert my traditional interior into a Queen size bed. Sleeping across the cabin I get almost 7' of space. Two in the cabin,one in the stern and two in the V burth. Wife and I are 5' 7". If its summer you can also convert the cockpit to sleep in by filling in between the seats. Use a hamock or whatever.
