I was just curious, Does anyone know how many 23.5, 240, and 260 boats Hunter built? Also, I live in southern Indiana and I was wondering if it would be worthwile for me to go to Strictly Sail in either Chicago or Miami? I would just be looking for a great {out of the water} boat cover, gril, sound system and information on how to best enjoy the 1999 240 we recently purchased. Money is a little short, so advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Don

Don, We have a 260H and have found the Oakland show to be yearly event that we look forward to attending. For us the April dates are just past the start of our the season. So it has proved to be a shopping event for stuff thought about all winter. You want to go prepared (measurements, budgets, way to transport the new stuff home, etc.) to purchase because some of the deals only happen at the shows. If nothing else it is the best way I know of to get invited to tour that many boats in one day.

Do not rule out the Cleveland show, starts Friday the 13th. All the Hunters, Catalinas, and many other sailboats. Lots of vendors with lots of sales. Not as big as Chicago obviously because this one also has powerboats. But the IX center is huge so there is plenty to see. See Related Link.

Strictly sail Chicago
We go to the Chicago show about every other year. We always find something to buy while we're up there. I'm a 240 owner from Indianapolis. It helps me get through the long cold winter! Walking through the big boats always keeps me encouraged to save for retirement as well! It's a nice weekend out of town too. ken
