Snohomish River mud shoal (not paying attention), Entrance to Roche Harbor (wrong turn into mud) and Newfoundland Channel at Nanaimo (too close to reef, no boat damage).Terry

I am the king of the grounders.

I learned it from my first instructor. In a race, he wouldn't tack until he ran out of water and touched bottom. And when cruising, one day in the Bahamas, I must have hit bottom 30 times. OK Terry, I fessed up. But now I've got that forward scaning sonar. I haven't hit with that on. Besides, if I did, I sure wouldn't tell anybody.
