I suspect it's related to the COVID situation and extended processing times at the DMV, but I submitted (mailed) my paperwork for a new dinghy to the DMV on June 3rd. Haven't heard back yet - anyone have recent experience with a new vessel reg in CA? Note this was a brand new vessel - not a change in ownership.

No idea.............I cannot get an appointment to obtain a non-commercial Class A driver's licence. You could call the DMV zat 800-777-0133 to confirm the status of your registration OR visit your local AAA to register it there and send the AAA a letter advising them to cancel your registration request. That is what I had to do get new plates from my new truck.
You can't register a NEW vessel at AAA, I tried. You can only register an existing/used vessel in your name.
