How long between bottoms in lakewater

Catalina 25 Swing keel, new bottom just before purchase in fall of 1995, been in the water continuously at Kerr Lake ever since. (kept putting off the bottom each year)So, 6 years in, should I expect horrific blisters? How long do lakeys tend to go between bottom repaints?kind regards,Simonsymes@att.net

Depends on Hull

Catalinas are spotty when it comes to blisters. Some blister like a Northern Europeon on vacation in Rio. Some don't. You simply will not know until you haul her. This is what keeps many people from doing this - fear of the unknown. Just get your gumption up, hold on to your wallet, and at least pull her out and check her hull.I recently did this myself.
