On the sailing end of things. I'm thinking of going tomorrow to poke around. I usually do my stuff buying (nothing big this year)at the Defender spring warehouse sale. Do you think prices would be better at the show?

it's fun

Hello, I went in 2005. The show was good, but I don't have much to compare it to. There were lots of vendors selling things, and Defender will be there. You should go and give it a try. Barry

Boat Show

Kind of late for this, but We just got back from the show and had a good afternoon there. Bought a Garmin 492 at not a bad price, and if you can,t be on a boat the next best thing is to around alot of boats. I thought it was a pretty good show with more than a few vendors.. Worth going

The Providence show is okay...

...just to be around boats in the winter. The Boston show is barely enough to get you through to the Newport Spring show. The Newport spring show is great because sailing season is just around the corner and the Newport show is only a few months away. The Newport show is GREAT but it reminds you that the end of the season is near. Just one great big vicious circle. I'm seriuosly considering moving south...I'm tired of the short season. Cheers, Bob

Thanks gang.

I never did get out to go. The weather was so crappy and I was tired from carrying on Saturday night. I here ya Bob. I'm pretty much stuck here but I think about living south often. I am a sucker for the "feel" of the NE coast though.
