How far will you travel to Hunter Rendevous?

I posted this question several days ago as part of another and only got one response so I thought I'd throw it out here.How far will you be sailing to get to Mystic, CT for the upcoming Hunter rendevous? I figure my sail at approx. 115-125 miles unless the sailing gods are against me with a stiff SW breeze, then I may never get there We've had great breezes this week from the NW and NE to bad there couldn't have come in a week and a half I could have made it there in record time.Looking forward to meeting lots of Hunters owners there.BTW are any others besides me bringing kids. I'll be bringing a 12 year old boy and 10 year old girl. Hopefully there will be lots for them to do as well.See you all soon,Bob KnottH380S/V Serenity

We are leaving July 28th and heading up the bay to the canal and then around Cape May to Block Island and then on to Mystic. We are looking forward to the trip in our 460 ... we bought her up in Mystic last Nov. and sailed home in freezing weather. Plan to take the NYC route home with a stop in Atlantic City. HC50 from St. Augustine, FL

Our HC50 will sail from St. Augustine, FL on July 24 with plans to be in Mystic by August 1, then some sailing in the Northeast before the Newport Boat Show in September.

Mystic Rendevous

Bob,We're coming from the Boston area. About 125 NM one way. I agree with your wind analysis. We just returned from 2 weeks up the coast of Maine. With the NE and NW winds we had for the past couple of weeks, we went up east and up west along most of the coast. what happened to our traditional S'westerlies? Seems like the wind gods have been on my nose all summer. Maybe this will change next week and we'll have NE down and SW back. from where others are coming that may be selfish, but it should be our turn.Hope to see you thereBryceS/V spellbinderH410

Went to the Cheasapeake Rendezvous earlier this month. Found it a ball. Wife is interested in going to other Rendezvous over a period of time if they are as much fun as the one at Solomons . . . . Can you guarantee such ? <grin>
