I was looking at the saloon table and it seems to be able to convert to a bed.
Does anyone know if it can and what is the procedure for making it happen?

Is there some sort of locking mechanism that I haven't found or is it
just stuck and needs some "oouupmph" to move it?
Thanks

I can give you half an answer here- the post fits into a socket on the underside of the table. There are two brackets on the hull side- look under the table and you will see them and how they work. Yes it needs strong pull- straight up. If it is stuck, two people are best, one on each side, pull the hull side up first but not too far before you take the post out. Next you are going to ask how to make a bed out of all that. I have to refresh my memory and the boat is still covered up- although it is tempting with this weather!

The post gets stuck in the top & bottom fittings. You need to beat on the table in an upward motion to remove it from the post. Once the table is off the post you should be able to remove it from the cabin sole.

If the table does not loosen you may use a block of wood and a hammer on the table/post fitting.

I would clean it out and lube with something like McLube so it does not attract dirt.

Attached are photos of the table on my '83 H31. As Steve said, I find it easier to remove the metal post and then lift up to remove from the hull side brackets. I have attached photos for reference. if you want to replace the metal post and the floor flange, these can be purchased at rv parts outlet, tulatin oregon and can be found at a wholesaler's website: http://www.arewholesale.com/ (look under housewares/tables/). The height of the pole is 29-1/2"
