how deep is the keel on H22

I bought a H22 without a trailer. I have a trailer from a McGregor 22. How much do I need to raise the runners to make room for the keel? How deep is the keel, and should the boat rest only on the runners, or a combination of keel and runners?Thanks

Fixed Keel

Give me a day or so and I can get you the exact depth of a fixed keel. I am under the impression that the boat rests its weight on the keel and the runners or stands are used for balance??

thanks for the response--- Can you explain something. For years we sailed a Gulf Coast 23. It had a swing keel. You cranked the keel up into the boat. I am 90% sure that my keel is not 5 feet deep. So I guess I have a swing keel. There is a rope that I feel lowers a board. (very light weight, does not feel like it is lower a keel) Does the keel on this boat actually lower (and how)? Or is it acutally a shoal keel with a board?Thanks for your time

Owner's manual

I have a fixed keel. I was able to get a copy of documentation from Hunter that has the cutaway drawing of the swing keel. They will send you a package of drawings and information on the H22 for about $20. I have both the original owners manual and the latest package from Hunter. The latest package is not a pretty as the original but it has much more information.
