First Thanks for the RE. I have a 27 foot Hunter (72-84) At the end of my brother-in-laws dock at low extreme tide he has 16 inches of water and over 5 feet of very soft silt/mud. I went out with a hoe handle and could not find any firm bottom to speak of. The keel on this boat is 24 inches high/deep at most. Will it hurt it to be in the silt/mud at low tide? Also I am told that this boat is almost impossible to capsize. Can anyone respond to that? I am a new sailor. Years of power boat though.
