My bad.
When I disconnected the in feed and supply out lines to the water heater I neglected to label them. Now I don't know which is which. How can I get them correct? I couldn't blow air through either hose to the galley faucet.

Larry, are these the hoses for the "domestic" water or the ones from the engine?

Either way, find the manual for the water heater you have online.

Thanks Stu.
It is the boats domestic water supply. The engine heating hoses I can trace but the plastic water supply line come out of a blind channel. The O'Days owners manual has a schematic but it does not indicate which goes to the upper cold water in fitting at the top.
I quess I could just take one hose off and turn on the water supply pump but it will make a bit of a mess.

.................................. you sound even more OCD than myself .

If you're really that concerned about a bit of water flying around, put a finger tightly over the end of each hose and have some one flick the pump breaker on for a split second. The hose which generates pressure is the inlet hose to the heater.

Larry, what heater do you have? If it's a Seaward, then I can go look it up for you.

Take the pump filter screen off, add a drop of food coloring, close, connect both hoses to WH and see which one turns color first.

Thank you all. Will try it out this weekend.
I consider OCD a gift;)

Have some one turn on your water pressure switch for a second and turn it off. That will identify your cold water supply.

that's exactly what i would have done ...it takes less effort to do that than it does to get in and out of the boat and when i established witch was witch i would make them permanently
