Peggy: Some time ago I read an article on this site regarding the problem of the rotten egg smell from the hot hater. Your response was that the annode in the tank needed to be changed. In my Hunter 29.5 I have a Seward hot watar heater. In checking the parts list in the manual, I do not see the word annode. Am I missing something. Milt

Got an exploded drawing?

In most water heaters, the anode is integral to the discharge fitting, so it may not be listed separately. If you don't see a long rod attached to the discharge fitting in the exploded drawing, call Seaward. 'Cuz it may be that you have one of the few water heaters that are made with a metal tank that was coated with an anodizer instead of a glass lined tank. If so, that's not what you wanted to hear...'cuz the only cure in that case is a new water heater.
