I have a 29.5 and after I run the engine I have to reset the Circuit breaker on my hot water heater. Does any one have this problem. I realize this is a safety so that the Heating element does not over heat the water when I'm using AC power.

Probably Vibration ?

My first guess would be engine vibration disengaging a worn breaker. See if it pops out when you tap on it with the butt-end of a screwdriver or sometnhing. If it does, then its bad. If I read you right, this is the thermal switch that breaks the AC circuit in the case of an overheat. With the engine on and shore power disconnected, there is simply nothing on this circuit. Does it only happen with shore power connected ? With the water heater main breaker engaged ? disengaged ? Answering those questions will help isolate whether its a physical or electrical issue. Hope this helps. Duane

not supposed to.....

This is not some standard feature. In 7 seasons I have not experienced this or any sign of a "thermal" breaker action. Sounds like a breaker problem to me or something shorting out from the engine vibration or a faulty circuit that is only active when the engine is on??? when you get it figured out please let us all know Bill Murray S/V Good Faith H29.5
