Hose length and elbows.

Hi Peg, got the SeaLand 5 gal pump/dump plumbed in. Finally got past the idea of putting a 2" diameter hole in the deck and a smaller one for the vent. Used a clamshell for the vent like you reccomended. The best match for was actually a 5/8" Tempo gasoline tank vent with screen. My question revolves around the need to use some pvc elbows for the sewage line. Both are designed for home kitchen use (inner diameter of 1 1/2"). A 90 degree and a 45 degree were needed. Do you see any problems? To keep the pumpout fitting out of the cockpit, I needed to plumb it onto the deck resulting in a total run of four feet. Any problems there? How much residual "liquid" can I expect after pumping? If neccesary I can plumb the line directly into the tank eliminating 9" of run and the elbows but routing it that way would result in a loss of locker space (at a premium in a Hunter 26). alan

I don't see any problems at all

Most toilet/tank/pumpout hose installations require at least one 90, some 2 or 3...so I don't think you'll have any problems at all.
