I've been looking for an adapter so I can attach a water hose to the deck water fitting on my Hunter 376. The size is for the threads on the deck-fill is 1 5/8" but I can't find anything that fits that, other than the original blue plastic Hunter deck fill water cap. Leaving the hose hooked up is pure laziness, I know I can't use it to pressurize water, like my trawler-owner neighbors. It just strikes me as odd that this particular size doesn't seem to exist at all. Thoughts are appreciated.

All I’ve ever seen are 3D printed homemade versions of that type of adapter. Those also have gaps in the housing so if you overfill the tank the water can escape, making sure not to pressurize the fill hose or tank.

Wow, that's something that wouldn't have even occurred to me. I'm not that high tech. LOL.

Yes, it is. :)

I don't think it's a good idea to leave a hose connected to the city water supply to one's boat. If something goes wrong you can sink the boat.

Consider your insurance company before you do this!

This is definitely not being left on. This would just to attach it for a fill, then turn it back off again when the tank is full, and would not be left unattended. It doesn't seem to matter, however, because there doesn't seem to be an option other than having something custom-made, in any event.

Someone could accidentally turn on your water supply.
