Horsehead Bay on July 4th

A couple of my friends have recommended anchoring in Horsehead Bay (Fox Island) to watch the local fireworks. Anyone have experience doing this? I'm wondering how popular it is and if there is enough room to anchor overnight.

Sorry that I don't have anything to help in regards to Horsehead Bay, but I do have a great alternative. Boston Harbor near Olympia does a great fireworks show on July 3rd. We have done that a few times, great show!

A bit of a hike for you southern belles, but of all the displays that I've seen over the years, and there has been quite a few, Fishermans Bay has by far been the best. Be sure to arrive the day before in order to drop anchor close to the head of the bay where you will have a front row seat. Harbor entrance a bit narrow and tricky, but your chart plotter will give you the proper guidance.

As far as Belle-Vie goes, well ...

We decided to stay at our lake cabin for the 4th then go cruising the following week. Thanks
