Horrible Screetch When Sliding Back Roof Lid

I get a horrible ear piercing screetch when sliding back my roof panel.

Sprayed it liberally with lithium grease. Worked it back and forth.

Any ideas ? I can't tell what parts are causing it. I think everything is stock, original.

Get some uhmw tape from McMaster-Carr and install it between the hatch and frame rail

Dave, I'd swear that you bought my boat, if I didn't still have it! Creepily similar issues. I found a TINY piece of dirt on one of the rails, about 1/2 the size of a pea. It was loud enough to put somebody in the cabin on their knees when you slid open the hatch...

sail slug lube works great on the hatch slides. keeps them smooth and easy to move...

I was on the boat yesterday and it drives me crazy. Is it hard to take the lid off? I could not find any bolts or fasteners. I should've taken a picture.

Look like there's two Delrin strips about three quarters of an inch wide – is this what the lid rides on ?
