Hoping to be new Yamaha 25 owner

I hope to soon be the new owner of a Yamaha 25 currently in Dana Point. This forum has been very helpful. I wonder if any of the 25 (or other) owners in San Diego with suitable experience would be interested in helping me sail it back to San Francisco. I could pay expenses and transportation back.

how long is going to take,do you intend to make it in one go?

Dana Point to SF

No, not one shot upwind in a 25' vessel. Obviously dependent upon weather, crew, gear. Will have to truck if can't find good experienced crew.

I'd be glad to give your boat a look over- for whatever my eye is worth, in the water or out.
Dana Point Shipyard has a very friendly self serve policy -- I strongly suggest a haul out to check things out before taking on a delivery to SF.
They use to have weekend haul out deal -- haul out Friday , work on your boat Sat./Sun, launch Monday morning - Only pay for 1 layday. They also allow you to stay on your boat! Did my boat there a year ago.

Don't think I'd be able to do the Full delivery but could help out with the southern legs to Santa Barbara or shake down sails. Drop me a line at syntonossailor@yahoo.com
