Hi all, I just installed a hood 700 Furler. on my H25 1974 (Replaced the aging CDI). A bit pricey, but an unbelievable improvement. would strongely recommend the upgrade to anyone. However also recommend having someone do it for you, it was a bear of an install, (especially single handed, in the water). Anyone else have this unit, other good or bad experiences?

Happy with change

When my continuous line jammed, I also did the upgrade to the SL (single line) Hood unit (800 model) last year. Installation was a nightmare for a lot of reasons that most people won't have to deal with. Most people have found installation to be pretty straightforward (hint: make sure you have a manual). Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. The new furler definitely works better than the old continuous line model. Furling has been much more pleasant. My '88 35 had a well in which the furling unit is placed, looks good in theory but sometimes the furling drum knocks against the edge of drum.
